Frequently Asked Questions
What is epoxy crack injection and when is it used?
Epoxy crack injection uses low-viscosity resin (100–3,000 mPa·s) pumped into concrete cracks to restore structural integrity. It is used for foundation cracks, bridge deck cracks, and tunnel lining repair. Our low-viscosity resin XQ-LF-L penetrates cracks as fine as 0.1 mm and cures to ≥40 MPa tensile strength — stronger than the original concrete.
Can resin injection fix foundation cracks?
Yes. Epoxy resin injection is the standard method for structural foundation crack repair. For waterproofing cracks, polyurethane injection is preferred because it remains flexible and accommodates minor movement. XINCHOR offers both epoxy (structural) and polyurethane (flexible, ≥300% elongation) injection systems.
What is the difference between low-viscosity and medium-viscosity crack injection resin?
Low-viscosity resin (100–300 mPa·s) is designed for hairline cracks 0.1–0.5 mm wide using gravity-feed or low-pressure injection. Medium-viscosity resin (1,000–3,000 mPa·s) handles wider cracks 0.5–5 mm using pressure injection. Both cure to structural-grade strength.
