What does CFRP stand for?

CFRP stands for Carbon Fiber Reinforced Polymer. It is a composite material combining carbon fiber filaments (tensile strength ≥3,400 MPa) with an epoxy matrix. XINCHOR manufactures CFRP fabric (200–600 g/m²) and pultruded CFRP plates (1.2–2.0 mm) for structural strengthening of bridges, buildings, and industrial structures.

CFRP fabric vs CFRP plate: which should I choose?

CFRP fabric (wet lay-up system) offers excellent conformability for wrapping columns and irregular surfaces, with tensile strength ≥3,400 MPa and modulus ≥230 GPa. CFRP plates are rigid, factory-produced with ≥65% fiber volume, and install faster on flat surfaces like beam soffits. Choose fabric for shear/seismic work, plates for flexural strengthening.

How long does CFRP structural strengthening last?

When properly installed with compatible adhesive systems, CFRP strengthening has a design life of 50+ years. Carbon fiber does not corrode, rust, or degrade under normal conditions. The critical factor is the epoxy matrix — our resins are UV-resistant and rated for -40°C to +60°C service temperature.
